Whitley Bay High is the lead school in our alliance for applicants who wish to apply for secondary and primary School Direct places in the North East following the tuition route. School Direct is a route into teaching which allows participants the opportunity to work closely with schools to gain Qualified Teacher Status.
Anyone wishing to teach must complete initial teacher training – ITT. You can complete your Primary or Secondary ITT through the WBTSA, an alliance in the North East of England, with a national reputation for: the quality of its Teaching and Learning; its innovative and rigorous training and the exceptional levels of support for emerging teachers.
