A bit about the programmes on offer:

The first choice qualification for anyone aspiring to be a Headteacher. NPQH will develop talented leaders from all backgrounds who can deliver educational excellence in a self-improving system, and high quality outcomes for pupils and students.

Applicants should be highly motivated to be a Headteacher, no more than 12-18 months from applying for headship posts and ready to take up a headship as soon as they graduate. Applicants need to have the full support and endorsement of their Headteacher, line manager or sponsor, and the line manager will also have to commit to playing an active role in learning, and encourage and promote involvement in leadership and other professional development opportunities.

A rigorous programme of study exploring the role of middle leaders. Modules deal explicitly with leadership and management of a team or department and are designed for those with a clear remit at middle leadership level. While the central theme of teaching and learning addresses the challenges of closing the gap, the programme focuses on issues specific to team and classroom practice with a strong emphasis on the practical strategies needed to deliver effective performance in these areas.

Whitley Bay Teaching School Alliance are planning to commence a new cohort of this programme in Autumn 2017.

Whitley Bay Teaching School Alliance deliver a range of CPD from accredited programmes to bespoke packages that ensure teachers have access to relevant and exciting opportunities to improve their practice.

We provide high-quality training that is facilitated by experienced lead trainers who have many years of leading whole school training, provided School to School support along with development of many of our CPD programmes and packages.
